How many photographs can be added to my wedding website
The number of photographs you can add to your website will in part be dictated by the amount of other content on your website. Generally, we aim to post as many photographs as necessary to highlight who you are individually and as a couple and those special and precious moments of your wedding. In addition, we can post photographs of memorable moments on your honeymoon.
Do you only accept digital photographs?
We will accept some non digital images, however if we feel that there are a lot of images that require scanning we may charge as this is a labour intensive process and does not form part of the wedding website package. Charges upon request.
Prior to requesting your website, you should advise us if you will require a scanning service, as we need to ensure that we can give your website the time that it will need.
How long does it take to make changes to the web site?
This varies according to the aggregated client needs. It usually varies from same day to 5 days. If you need changes carried out as a matter of urgency, we will treat this as a priority.
What payment methods can I use?
PayPal, direct debit, cheque and postal order.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Give us one full month written notice.
What happens to my personal information?
We do not share your personal information with anyone.
How long can I keep my wedding web site?
As long as we receive payment.
Can I take my wedding web site elsewhere?
You pay for the web site and can take it elsewhere. We cannot guarantee it will be compatible with the software used by your new web designer and any transitional issues must be dealt with by the new designer.
Who has access to my website?
Your web site is accessible to everyone, unless you specifically request password protection for the whole site or individual pages. Once information has been made public it is no longer under our control. We can add password protection later but information on the web may have travelled by that time.
How safe is my password protected information?
Your log in details are personal to you. We do not give this information to anyone except the person nominated to be the provider of wedding web site information. If you feel this information has been compromised, we will change the log in information for you. Any requests for log in information will be forwarded to you. If you lose your log in details, as a precaution you will need to pass a security check before the information is made available to you.
If my wedding does not go ahead can I cancel your web building and hosting services?
The wedding web site design cost will not be refunded as you will have paid for work already carried out. However, you can cancel the maintenance and hosting at any time. We need only one full month’s paid notice of cancellation.
How many edits can I have a month?
We do not put a limit on it at this stage. However, we need to service all our client’s web sites and may need to find a more efficient web site editing schedule for you if your editing requirements become untenable.
When do I pay for my own wedding website?
You pay half the design fee at the time of the initial request and the other half when you have reviewed the initial pages. Further edits will be carried out when both payments have been processed.
The wedding web site will go live when the hosting and maintenance fee is being paid.
What sort of information can I put on my wedding web site?
Anything relating to your wedding or yourselves as a couple.
Who chooses the name of my wedding web site?
You do if you wish. Subject to availability. This should be chosen as early as possible, firstly to save it and secondly to know where your web site is to review it prior to making your second wedding web site design payment.
Who can request the wedding web site?
Anyone can request a wedding web site. However, care should be taken to gain the permission of the people whose images and information appear on the web site. Wedme1 take no responsibility for the information provided for or displayed on the web site.
Is a wedding website just for an officially recognised marriage contract?
No. You can have a website dedicated to your life as a couple as a declaration of
love and/or to celebrate a commitment ceremony. We create web sites for couples
and cater to any gender, beliefs, location and budget. A wedding web site is a proclamation
of love, so if you are having a religious ceremony, civil ceremony, partnership ceremony
or no ceremony at all -
Who can request edits?
Only the parties agreed at the beginning of the contract, in order to protect your website.
Do you place advertising on my web site?
Each page contains a tasteful link to Wedme1 and Webme1. There will be no advertising on your web site unless you request it.
Can my web site be found in search engines?
We expect this to happen over time. In the meantime, typing the website address in the address bar takes you straight to your website.
Why should I use Wedme1 for my wedding website?
There are numerous options for wedding websites out there. Feel free to browse your options. We are happy to welcome you once you have spent time and energy sifting through the options, prices and services offered.
Our website service is different to most you will have come across. Feel free to correct us if you come across anything more attractive. We are always seeking ways to improve.
We will give you as many web pages as we feel you need to adequately portray yourselves as a couple and cover your wedding day and honeymoon. This includes using your photos too! We know how important displaying your photos are. We do not assign you a ridiculously low bandwidth for your all important wedding website.
We do not display advertising on your website.
We do not allow pop ups on your website.
We do not allow banner ads on your website.
Can you imagine how annoying it might be to be reading through all your wonderful thoughts and memories with the distraction of advertising links to wedding shops, cake makers and florists who have had no connection with your wedding at all.
Your website is all about you, your life, your wedding and anything of special significance to you as a couple. Your website is dedicated to you and that is the way it should be!
We do not put a limit on how long you can keep the wedding website. As long as you pay the hosting and maintenance fee we are happy to keep your special and memorable pages available indefinitely. Can you imagine how nice it will be on your wedding anniversary to relive those wonderful memories as fresh as the day they were made.
The most important factor on top of all this is that we do it all for you! Send us your information and images and we take care of the rest. You review it and ask for edits and that is it!
